There will be a spaghetti benefit dinner Wednesday, November 18, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sault Ste. Marie Armory, to help support the 1437th Second Bridge Platoon, National Guard Unit families during deployment. Cost is $5 a plate. Tickets will be available at the door. Takeouts will be available.

The 1437th Second Bridge Platoon, National Guard Unit "send off" will be Thursday, November 19, at 6 p.m. at the Sault Ste. Marie High School gymnasium in Sault Ste. Marie. Let's pack the place and show support for our soldiers and their families.

There will be a foot care clinic Friday, November 20, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital. To schedule an appointment, call (906) 293-9241 and ask for the foot care clinic.

Thanksgiving break for students at Engadine Consolidated Schools will be Thursday November 26, and Friday, November 27.
