‘Thank You, Veterans’

Luna Stamy, a first grade student at Mackinac Island Public School, reaches up to shake the hand of military veteran Doug Horn. The former Army Specialist Fourth Class helped hand out backpacks to Island students from preschool through seventh grade. Written on each backpack was the name of one Mackinac Island veteran. The packs were donated by former Island resident Marine Gunnery Sergeant Delbert Bunker of Orlando, Florida.
