Connie Stephens Connie Rose Stephens, 59, of St. Ignace Township, passed away Monday morning, November 16, 2009, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.

She was born August 12, 1950, in Wyandotte, the daughter of Howard and Doris (nee Crawford) Beck.

She was graduated from Lincoln Park High School in 1969.

She married Kenneth Stephens June 11, 1970, in River Rouge. They moved to the Carp River area in 1975.

Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker and loved gardening. She also enjoyed watching deer in her yard.

She is survived by her husband; a son and his family, Michael and Jamie Stephens of Petoskey; her mother, Doris Beck of Allen Park; three brothers and their families, Raymond and Mary Beck of Trenton, Terry and Cindy Beck of Allen Park, and Brian and Dreana Beck of Clarkston; a sister, Sheryl Beck of Allen Park, and a granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Stephens.

Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her father and a son, Christopher, in 1979.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, from noon to 2 p.m. at Dodson Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Lane of Glen Memorial Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Carp River Cemetery.
