Ozanichs Celebrate 50 Years

The Ozanichs on their wedding day October 24, 1959 The Ozanichs on their wedding day October 24, 1959 John William and Margie Ann (nee Smith) Ozanich of Engadine celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, October 24.

They were married in Pickford at the First United Presbyterian Church by the Reverend Neuenschwander, and the ceremony was followed by a reception. Attendants were nephews of the groom, John Spears of Mesa, Arizona, as best man; Donald Sulcer of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Brent Geske of Naubinway as ring bearer. Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Jeri Smith Barr, of Belpre, Ohio. Serving as bridesmaid was a niece of the groom, Karen Cook Sherman of Trout Lake; the late Nancy Smith of Cedarville served as flower girl. Ushers were Robert Izzard of Cedarville and Jerry Schroeder of Newberry. Music was provided by the groom’s cousins, Richard Debelak of Munising and the late Mike Klobucher of Engadine.

Their three grandchildren, Duncan II, Lauren, and Morgan, and guests were in attendance.
