This week it may be easier to spot a turkey than a deer, as local hunters say the whitetail deer have been scarce this year. A few of those who filled their license were Don Frederick, Mike Kerridge, and Ken Browning.

Howard Dauphin, a former Rexton resident, has taken up residency with his daughter and relocated to lower Michigan.

Al and Nadine Garavaglia’s grandson had the misfortune of falling on his deck at home and broke both large bones in his right arm. This occurred following Al’s similar accident a week or so before.

We wish Harold Derusha a speedy recovery. Harold is a patient at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital.

Evelyn Burgess enjoyed a short visit with her grandson, Justin Derusha, and great-granddaughter, Keri. Justin has returned home for the holiday from service in Afghanistan.

Birthday wishes, a few belated, to Bud Weger, who celebrated November 16, Misty Martis November 19, Jeffery Dishaw November 22, and Jeff Dishaw November 26.
