Andrew Mullins
Mullins Completes Basic Training
Airman Andrew Mullins of St. Ignace was graduated from United States Air Force basic training September 25 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Airman Mullins completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic welfare principles and skills.
He is now attending a 15-week technical school for Security Forces and upon completion, he will be stationed at Wright- Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
He is the son of Mark and Mary Ann Mullins of St. Ignace and the grandson of Bill and Eleanor Wark of Trout Lake. He is a 2009 gradu- ate of LaSalle High School.
Smith Named Sailor of the Quarter
Seaman Nathan Smith, a construction mechanic in the Navy Seabees, was recently chosen as Sailor of the Quarter. He is stationed at Gulf Port, Mississippi.

He was transferred from the 20th Seabee Readiness Group unit to the Naval Mobil Construction Battalion 133 to prepare for his deployment to Afghanistan in February 2010.
He entered the U.S. Navy in May 2007, one year after graduation from Cedarville High School. He is the son of Randy McDonald and Nina McDonald of Cedarville.
Campbell Finishes Basic Training
Airman Justin Campbell was graduated from the United States Air Force basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Luanne Maze of Mackinaw City and Kevin Campbell of St. Ignace. He is a 2009 graduate of Mackinaw City High School.
Airman Campbell completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. He earned four credits toward an associate’s in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
