Saints, Trojans To Play in Second ‘Hooping for a Cure’ Game

MHSAA Volleyball Tournament, Football Playoff Highlights
      The Pellston Hornets volleyball team finished runner-up in Class D after falling to defending state champions Battle Creek St. Phillip in three games 25-13, 25-21, and 25-10 in the title match Saturday, November 21. The Hornets advanced to the finals after defeating Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 25- 21, 25-23, 25-17 in the semifinals Thursday, November 19.

Wallis Named Rudyard V-ball MVP
      Junior Leah Wallis was named the most valuable player and received conference, region, and allarea honors after leading the Rud- 0yard Bulldogs with 311 assists, 187 kills, 40 block kills, and 78 aces (91% serving). Rudyard Bulldogs volleyball coach Ellen Perry announced winners of individual honors for her varsity squad.

Historical Society To Hold Annual Party December 3
      The Rudyard Historical Society’s annual Christmas Party will be Thursday, December 3, with a potluck meal at 6 p.m. and a program beginning at 7 p.m. at the Rudyard Community Center. The program will include violin, harp, and piano music by the McKenzie family, and accordion, flute, trumpet, and harmonica by other performers.
