Wallis Named Rudyard V-ball MVP

Leah Wallis Leah Wallis Junior Leah Wallis was named the most valuable player and received conference, region, and allarea honors after leading the Rud- 0yard Bulldogs with 311 assists, 187 kills, 40 block kills, and 78 aces (91% serving). Rudyard Bulldogs volleyball coach Ellen Perry announced winners of individual honors for her varsity squad.

Senior Emily Jeffreys earned the defensive players award and recorded 359 kills, 228 digs, 44 block kills, and 50 aces (92% serving).

Junior Jesse Rye received the coach’s award for having positive attitude and keeping the team motivated with spirited encouragement. She was a hard worker on defense and serving, the coach noted.

Sophomore Hunter Perry, named the most improved player, registered 90% serving, was second in assists, and third in digs and aces.

Emily Jeffreys Emily Jeffreys Nine area players were selected by coaches to the allregion volleyball team Tuesday, November 17.

Seniors named to the team were Kayla Miller and Elisa Hobbs, both of Engadine, Emily Jeffreys of Rudyard, Ellen Routhier of Brimley, and Kiah Barbeaux of DeTour, and juniors Justine Hatfield of Pickford, Leah Wallis of Rudyard, Stephanie Lynn of Brimley, and Jenna Arnold of Cedarville.
