Hello, everyone. It’s December, and Christmas is right around the corner.

The Erickson Center for the Arts Christmas open house will be Sunday, December 6, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Holiday music will be provided by the Engadine Area Community Adult and Children's Choir and Allison Rall beginning at 3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The junior high and high school band concert will be Thursday, December 3, at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at Engadine Consolidated Schools. The elementary holiday concert will be Tuesday, December 15, at 6:30 p.m.

There will be no school for Engadine students Tuesday, December 8, owing to a teachers’ in-service day.

The Engadine elementary choir will sing Thursday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the senior citizens dinner at the Newberry Community Building.

Northstar Baptist Church presents the Upper Peninsula's Live Nativity "Angels We Have Heard On High" Friday, December 11, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bonnie French farm on County Road 468 in Germfask. Take a horse-drawn ride around the farm, watch shepherds in the field, hear the angel choir, and enjoy a bonfire with free cookies and hot chocolate.

Top of the Lakes Association’s annual Christmas Bazaar will be Sunday, December 6, from noon to 4 p.m. in the gymnasium at Engadine Consolidated Schools. There will be arts, crafts, jewelry, and books. Santa will be there from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and photographs with Santa will be $5. The Girl Scouts will be collecting non-perishable food, paper items, and personal hygiene items for the local pantry. Craft tables are available. The Wildwood Mennonite Church will host the annual Christmas Carol Sing-along Sunday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. Bill VanEffen will be the pianist for the evening. The public is invited.

Condolences to the family of Betty Stansbury, who passed away Wednesday, November 25. Betty was a longtime Naubinway resident. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
