The weather has been very mild with bright sunshine and clear skies; however, it rained all day and was very dreary Thanksgiving Day.

Deb, Mike, and Josh Carley spent the Thanksgiving holiday with Deb’s parents, Cal and Mary Rogers, in St. Ignace.

Gary and Karen Lennard traveled to Hillsdale to celebrate Thanksgiving with Karen’s brother and family.

Mike Gamble, Jr. joined his family, Mike, Trish, Madison, and Shadow, for Thanksgiving. He is a freshman at Saginaw Valley State University.

The David Levy family celebrated Thanksgiving in their lovely home on the East Bluff.

Happy third birthday December 7 to little Vincent Davis, son of Marion Bunker and Jay Davis. Proud grandparents are Ike and Elaine Bunker of Mackinac and Tom and Joanne Davis of Springfield, Illinois.

Tony Brodeur cooked two turkeys Thanksgiving day and invited anyone to join him who did not have a place to celebrate the holiday. Tony truly showed the spirit of Thanksgiving.

Lula Belle D’Arce is still hospitalized. She was transfered to Mackinac Straits Hospital Friday, November 27. She would love to hear from her many friends on Mackinac with a card.

Thanksgiving morning during the 11 a.m. Mass in Ste. Anne’s Hall, it was a fascinating sight to see several brilliant red cardinals outside the church. They were beautiful.

Ed and Nona Chambers spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Muskegon with family members. Ed returned home Friday, November 27, with a nine-weekold Boston Terrier named Calvin.

We send special greetings to Jay Vehicco, mother of Loretta Spata, who has been hospitalized in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tony and Loretta flew down to be with her.

Peggy Bynoe of Grand Rapids joined her family and Ron and Mary Dufina for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Dr. Yvan Silva of Pontiac enjoyed Thanksgiving on Mackinac.

Danielle Wightman and Arial Leeper, both students at Michigan State University, spent Thanksgiving on Mackinac with their families.

Darcy Brodeur-Bunker, a freshman at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, was on the Island for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Greg Main joined family members in Manistique for Thanksgiving.

Donnie and Gracie Francis left Mackinac Tuesday, November 24, for their winter home in Punta Gorda, Florida. Have a good winter.

Dr. Bill and Sue Chambers enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday in Sault Ste. Marie.

Joan Barch is visiting her mother in Palm City, Florida. I’m sure she is enjoying the sunshine.

Billy Andress bagged a 10-point buck on Round Island.

Jason St. Onge joined his friend, Shannon Tort, and her family for Thanksgiving in Hessel.

Carl and Sandy Ellis joined family members in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Kent Weber will leave Mackinac Wednesday, December 9, to join family members in Atlanta, Georgia, for the holidays. He will return to the Island the end of January.

Candy Smith and her helpers held a special bingo Monday evening, November 30, to benefit the Christmas Bazaar.

The Mackinac Island Community Foundation will meet Friday, December 4, at 3 p.m. at the Mackinac Island Medical Center.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Christmas Bazaar! The Christmas Bazaar gets underway Saturday morning, December 5, at 11 a.m. at Community Hall, with Santa arriving about 1:30 p.m. The bazaar runs through Monday, December 7.
