Donna and Larry Porterfield had a wonderful visit from their daughter, Heather, and grandson, Ayden, who stayed for five months. Heather and her husband, Tim, live in El Paso, Texas, where Tim works in border patrol. Heather came home to visit her family because she was homesick. They are hoping for a transfer back to this area.

The minister from the Christian Reformed Church is leaving and the church is looking for a replacement. The minister, Robert Steen, has been there for 10 years and has retired. We wish him the best of luck on his new adventure.

The Friends of the Library will have a silent auction and will sell baked goods and crafts Monday, November 30, through Saturday, December 12. Bids for items will be accepted as a fundraiser for the library. Bid sheets are in the library and items will be on display in the showcases. For more information, call (906) 478-4504.

Santa will arrive Saturday, December 5, at 1 p.m. at the Kinross Township Recreation Center. All children are invited to come and let Santa know what they would like for Christmas.

The senior citizens holiday party is Thursday, December 10, at 12:30 p.m., also at the Recreation Center. Transportation may be arranged by calling the center. Fruit baskets will be given out at the party.
