Kenneth J. Krygier, 58, of DeTour Village, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey, following a short illness.

He was born October 10, 1951, in Bay City.

Mr. Krygier lived in Bay City for many years, and also lived in Bellaire, where he was a building inspector and active in the fire department. He also lived in Houghton Lake and was an active fireman, as well as in Rapid City. Mr. Krygier lived in DeTour for the past five years and worked for St. Ignace Do- It Center as a construction manager.

He attended St. Florence Catholic Church in DeTour Village.

He is survived by a son, Sean Krygier of DeTour Village; two stepsons, Joseph Wysocki of Houghton Lake and Chad Wysocki of Flint; one stepdaughter, Heather Weber of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mary Krygier.

No services are planned at this time.
