Bliss Beardsley Blisse Beardsley of Mackinac Island received degrees in both statistics and sociology from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor during the university's spring 2009 commencement ceremonies.

Miss Beardsley is the daughter of Theresa Butler of Mackinac Island and was the 2005 valedictorian of her graduating class at Mackinac Island Public School.
