MacArthur, Wyse, Buskirk Are Engadine Students of Week
Morgan MacArthur, Ben Wyse, and Jeremy Buskirk are the Students of the Week for the week of November 30 at Engadine Consolidated Schools
Morgan MacArthur, daughter of Sherry and Duncan MacArthur, is the Engadine High School student of the week. A sophomore, Miss MacArthur is competitive in and out of the classroom. When she works hard at basketball or volleyball practice, the results show at game time, her teachers report, and when she works hard in the classroom, the results show in her achievement.
She is a good writer with a talent for using detail to make her point. She is dependable, respectful, and has great leadership potential.
Ben Wyse, a seventh grade student, is doing a fine job, his teachers report. Mr. Wyse considers himself to be bold and outspoken. He is a leader in his class and has great potential. He is interested in mechanical engineering. His favorite class is science. Michigan State is his favorite university.
He likes to snowboard and play football. His favorite author is C.S. Lewis.
His suggestion for making the school a better place would be to pick up trash both inside and outside the school. He is the son of Tim and Laurie Wyse.
The Engadine Elementary School student of the week is Jeremy Buskirk. Mr. Buskirk is the son of Raymond and Lisa Buskirk of Gould City and is in the fifth grade. Teacher Denise McClelland says he is always very helpful and volunteers to do extra things in the classroom such as pulling down the projector screen or returning the computer cart. He works hard to turn all of his assignments in on time. He works well with others and likes to participate in class discussions. His favorite subject is science. He admires his father, he said, because his dad is teaching him how to play the guitar.
