St. Ignace Firehawks Win Kalamazoo Tournament

The St. Ignace Firehawks Midget A hockey team won the Kalamazoo Cup Tournament with three wins and one tie Friday, November 27, through Sunday, November 29, in Kalamazoo. Cody Therrian of St. Ignace was named Firehawks tournament most valuable player. Team members are (not in order) Ben Damron, Chris Dumas, James Goudreau, Zach Harrington, Ryan Marshall, Ben Paul, Caleb Radtke, Patrick Sweeney, and Cody Therrian, all of St. Ignace, Tyler Goetz, Matt Hansen, Anthony Laaksonen, and Quinton Myotte, all of Sault Ste. Marie, Andrew Plomer of Gould City, Tom Robbins of Newberry, Zach Sobeck of Rogers City, Brennon Wachter of Cheboygan, and coaches Matthew Parker, Kyle Stabile, William Soden, and Joseph Esson, all of Sault Ste.
