Paul and JoAnn Miller of Clarksville are new neighbors of Louella and John Snow. Paul and Louella, by happenstance, found they have a mutual friend, Virgil Kauffman, dating back to their teenage years. It was nice to reminisce by phone, particularly during the Christmas season, says Louella.

The Christmas party for Engadine Consolidated Schools children who are tribal members will be Sunday, December 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Garfield Township Hall. Santa Claus will visit at 3 p.m. The party is sponsored by the Land of Echoes, tribal elders of Naubinway.

Christmas caroling will be Wednesday, December 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Rexton Mennonite Church.

Pastor Tim Miller and family will host their holiday open house Saturday, December 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Candles and Carols concert will be Sunday, December 13, at 7 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

The Engadine Consolidated Schools elementary concert will be Tuesday, December 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the school.

Happy belated birthday wishes to Geri Maddox, who celebrated December 1, and Brandon Moesch, Bob Edwards, Sam Caverly, and Paulie Kleeman, who celebrated December 8. Happy birthday to the youngest in our family, our son, Andy, December 11, and Rob Aldrich and Cheryl Hood December 13.

Happy second birthday to Sydney Hood December 11.

Anniversary wishes to Dewey and Cherie Wilder December 11.

Continued get well wishes to Evelyn Selby, who had the misfortune to slip over the big hill east of town and total her vehicle.

Get well wishes to Butch Formolo, who is recovering following a hospital stay, as well as Jennifer Huyghe, daughter of Dale Burgess.
