The Gros Cap School holiday program will be Friday, December 11, at 1:30 p.m.

The St. Ignace P.T.O. will have a pancake dinner Wednesday, December 16, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at McDonald’s restaurant in St. Ignace.

Jody Horn celebrated her 40th birthday December 4 with a party at her home. Twenty relatives and friends attended.

Lana Stempki will have shoulder surgery Friday, December 11. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Sue Mowers and her daughter, Jennifer Mowers, of Trout Lake were in town last week visiting friends.

Gert Dunn invites interested people to join a prayer group each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in St. Ignace. The Sunday school church family will have a caroling night Monday, December 21, at 6:15 p.m. Denise and Mike Beaudoin will provide a tractor and trailer.

The St. Ignace Public Library will show the movie, “Santa Buddies” Saturday, December 19, at 1 p.m. There is no charge and refreshments will be served.

The St. Ignace elementary and middle school Christmas program will be Thursday, December 17, at 6:30 p.m.

The Jewel of the Straits Red Hat Society met Thursday, December 3, at Rosalie Robinson’s home in St. Ignace. Eleven ladies attended. They will have their Christmas dinner and gift exchange Wednesday, December 16, at 6 p.m. at the Village Inn restaurant in St. Ignace.

Rosalie and Bill Robinson were in Traverse City last weekend visiting their children.
