Drew Gustafson Completes Eagle Project

Drew Gustafson Drew Gustafson Drew Gustafson, son of Al and Lynn Gustafson of Rochester Hills, formerly of St. Ignace, received his Eagle Scout badge November 4.

For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Gustafson replaced the front porch using plastic wood at Lighthouse PATH in Pontiac. He also repaired and stained a large deck area and front walkway. Lighthouse PATH is a nonprofit organization that helps homeless women and children. Mr. Gustafson’s project included raising more than $1,250 for supplies and the total hours worked on the project exceeded 300.

He has earned 34 merit badges and has held many leadership roles including Patrol Leader, and currently Eagle Scout Patrol Leader. He became an Ordeal Member of the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society of Scouting, in September 2007. He became a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow in September 2008.

He is a freshman at Detroit Country Day School, where he is a member of the student council and active in sports. He competes in football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. He also plays the violin and is learning how to play guitar.

He is the grandson of Georgiana and the late Albert Gustafson of St. Ignace.
