Forty-four worshipers joined the Trinity Lutheran Church congregation for services Christmas Eve. It was good to see friends and acquaintances there.

Mary Lou Sayles called me a few days ago to ask about Billy Milford. She and Billy were classmates at LaSalle many years ago.

Pastor George Kaiser and the councils of Zion Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church will have a joint meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, at the church in Brevort. A potluck dinner will take place before the meeting.

Joe and Sharon Chalmers joined family members in Birmingham for the Christmas holiday, where there were two babies to spoil and to play with. Joe spent Christmas day with his brother, Murray Chalmers of Grass Lake.

Crystal Giordani of Petoskey and Sandra, Rhett, Annabelle, and Antoine Bartman of Elk Rapids all spent Christmas day with Gio and Betty Giordani at their home on Worth Road.

Jeanne and Brian Rose traveled to Troy, Michigan and the home of Dr. Jamal and Kari Ksar and children Kaden and Andrew for the Christmas holiday. Grandchildren are so great.

Pega and John Kennedy and Mike, Lara, Kristi, and Morgan Gustafson had breakfast with Tom and Joyce Gustafson at their home Christmas morning.

John and Pega Kennedy joined John’s family in Cheboygan Christmas Eve.

Susie and Russ Nesberg joined sister Sandy Sharp’s family Christmas day. Niece Jona Hall hosted the gathering and prepared dinner for all.

Katelyn O’Boyle spent part of her Christmas holidays with friends in Henderson. Sean, Janice, Kyle, and Lawrence O’Boyle traveled to Munising to be with Sean’s family.

Jamica Diamond is busy preparing for the arrival of the large tee-pee that will be ready for the summer of 2011. There is much to do, such as painting and making it waterproof. Jamica and Gary usually have the shop open most of the time and have a few visitors over the holidays.

Jack and Thora Shepard and Lee Foster spent Christmas day at the home of Michael and Helena Shepard and family. Patti Truman and Melissa Foster are spending this week at the home of Jack and Thora Shepard.

Jim and Jerri Rose were at the home of their daughter, Jennie Rose of Interlochen, for the holidays.

Candy and Bob Humphrey, Jessie and Jennie Humphrey of Traverse City, and Tammy Spencer of St. Ignace were at home with Mark and Joan Spencer for Christmas. Jessi and Jennie celebrated significant birthdays this month. They were 18 years old Tuesday, December 19.

Joyce Gustafson won a Wii game system.

Mike and Lara Gustafson hosted a family dinner at their home Christmas day. Guests were Larry and Sharron Lasley, Willie and Donna LaLonde and family, Karl and Lynn Yoder and family, all of St. Ignace, and Tom and Joyce Gustafson of Brevort.

Our Christmas was a quiet time as Dave is recuperating from surgery on his rotator cuff. Dave Movalson, Jr. and Tracy Movalson shared in our Christmas celebration.
