Asnowshoe walk through Straits State Park in St. Ignace will begin the Wellness Council of the Upper Peninsula Physical Activity Incentive Program at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 2.

A one-mile course will be marked through the trails and anyone interested in participating may contact Colleen Horn of Mackinac Straits Hospital in St. Ignace at 643- 0431 for more information.

Over an eight-week period, participants in the free incentive program are asked to reach a minimum goal of 30 minutes of moderate or vigorous activity at least five days each week. Progress may be tracked online.
