Hiram Lee Jr., 78, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, died Monday, December 21, 2009, at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique.

He was born October 13, 1931, in Mackinac County to Hiram and Ethel (nee Simmons) Lee.

Mr. Lee enjoyed listening to country and western music, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and riding his tricycle around town. He worked at the Chippewa County Recycling Center from 1995 to 2005.

He is survived by two sisters and their families, Lois and Peter Gregg of Sault Ste. Marie, and Nancy and Stanley Wolowich of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; one brother and his family, Jerry and Catherine Lee of Rudyard, and nine nieces and nephews, Michael, Mary Lou, Carol, John, David, Elizabeth, Kevin, Lee, and Barbara.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 5, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Reamer Galer Funeral Home in Pickford. The service will be at graveside in the spring at North Rudyard Cemetery in Kinross Township.
