Donza Worden Is Awarded Albion College Merit Scholarships
Donza Worden of Drummond Island received an Albion College Trustees' Scholarship worth $16,000, a Verle Klungness Scholarship worth $2,000, and a Gerstacker Institute Scholarship worth $1,000. This award is reserved for students who earn a minimum ACT score of 29 or a minimum grade point average of 3.8. Recipients must also demonstrate leadership and/or service activities during high school.
Mr. Worden has been accepted into the Albion College Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Policy and Service. The Ford Institute is designed to give students a chance to broaden their education through concentrated study in areas of government and public service. Institute members come from all academic majors and complete internships and specialized coursework in their areas of interest. The Institute encourages students to participate in campus leadership roles and community service.
Mr. Worden is first-year student studying computer science. He is the son of Donza Worden II and Catherine Worden of Drummond Island and a graduate of De Tour High School.
