Kayley and Jason Lyons
Kayley Joy Lasley and Jason Thomas Lyons of Greenvale, New York, were united in marriage Saturday, September 5, 2009, at Deer Lake Beach in Boyne Falls, with the Reverend John Naile of the Methodist Church in Gaylord officiating. Music was provided by Gene Perry of St. Ignace.
The bride is the daughter of William and Donna LaLonde of St. Ignace, and was given away in marriage by her father and her grandfather, Lawrence Lasley.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Wendy Lyons of Big Rapids and Michelle Lyons of Green Valley, Arizona.
The bride wore an ivory and antique gold strapless gown adorned with ivory lace, pearls, and crystals and carried a bouquet of ivory and light pink roses.
The bride’s sister, Mallory LaLonde, was the maid of honor and Kara Grenoble, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. Friends of the bride serving as bridesmaids were Lisa Guili of Chicago, Mandy Roschek of Kalamazoo, Jenny Tijerina of Grand Rapids, Rachel Summer of Irving, Texas, and Rochelle Bushong of Traverse City. Junior bridesmaids were Lydia LaLonde of St. Ignace and Renae Lyons of Stanwood. The bridesmaids wore black, chiffon, floor-length dresses and carried bouquets of light pink roses.
The groom’s brother, Shane Lyons of Green Valley, was the best man and Carson Yoder of St. Ignace was the ring bearer. Groomsmen were Ryan Schultz of Cadillac, Gordon Schaeffler of Rochester, Ryan Skipton of Granby, Massachusetts, Sean Wethington of Big Rapids, and Ryan Bret Wheatlake of Big Rapids. Ushers were Landon Snyder of St. Ignace and John Lyons of Stanwood.
A reception followed at the Boyne Mountain Resort Vienna Room in Boyne Falls.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of LaSalle High School and a 2007 graduate of Ferris State University. She is managing a salon in Old Westbury, New York, and attending graduate school.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Big Rapids High School, and a 2006 graduate of Ferris State University. He is a golf professional at Rockville Links Country Club in Rockville Centre, New York.
The couple plan to take a wedding trip in February to St. Lucia. They reside in Greenvale.
