Audie's Restaurant in Mackinaw City will host a scholarship ball Saturday, January 16, from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets for the event will be $50, and proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund.

In the past two years Audie's has provided scholarships to collegebound Mackinaw City graduates said Katie Kosorski of the restaurant. Last year, eight students received $400 scholarships. The size of the scholarship depends upon the amount raised each year, she added.

The ball is black-tie optional, with a masquerade theme. Masks will be provided or people may bring their own. Hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction, music, and dancing will mark the evening. A special-admission preview of the silent auction will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will include a preview of the auction and hors d'oeuvres for $15.
