A benefit dinner for Koel Bird will take place Sunday, January 10, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Timmy Lee’s Pub in St. Ignace. Koel was diagnosed with laryngomalacia, softening of the esophagus, and frequently travels for medical care to DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. The benefit will include a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit medical and travel expenses.

Koel was born September 2, 2009, to Heather and Ryan Bird of Moran.
