Corey Gustafson Corey Gustafson, 33, of Mackinaw City, formerly of St. Ignace, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at his home.

He was born November 22, 1976, in Warren to Richard and Pam (nee Gierlaszynski) Gustafson.

Mr. Gustafson was graduated from LaSalle High School in 1994. He traveled extensively through the United States, spending time in North Carolina and working with the Red Cross.

He had lived in Mackinaw City for the past two years and worked at Admiral’s Table, a restaurant owned by his mother.

He is survived by his mother, Pam Gierlaszynski of St. Ignace and Clearwater, Florida; his father and stepmother, Richard and Patsy Gustafson of Brevort; a brother and his family, Greg and Patrice Gustafson of Mackinaw City; a sister, Megan Gustafson, a student at Michigan State University, and other siblings and their families, Tim and Adam Fenlon of Traverse City, Matt and Lisa McNamee of California, Corrine and Dave Moody of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kelly McNamee of Mackinaw City; his grandparents, Stan and Fran Gierlaszynski of St. Ignace and Clearwaterand. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Gustafson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Ethelyn Gustafson, and a cousin, Jeff Massey.

A memorial service took place Saturday, January 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Dodson Funeral Home in St. Ignace. Lunch was served at the St. Ignace VFW Post from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
