Karen Hope (nee Fisher) Tonchen, 58, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at her home after an illness of cancer.

She was born on Mackinac Island September 28, 1951.

Mrs. Tonchen loved fishing and camping.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Tonchen; three children, Tammy St. Onge and Oliver St. Onge, both of Lawton, and August St. Onge of Sault Ste. Marie; four sisters; one brother; 12 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, August Fisher, her mother, Eleanore Fykes, three sisters, and one brother.

Services were Saturday, January 9, from noon to 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Paw Paw. A memorial is planned in the spring in St. Ignace. Burial will be on Mackinac Island.
