Norman Kopitzke
Norman Kopitzke, 77, of Brevort Lake and Kokomo, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo.
He was born September 19, 1932, in Gillett, Wisconsin, to Eric and Elda (nee Barkey) Kopitzke.
Mr. Kopitzke married Lois Ann Thornburg August 30, 1953.
He served in the United States Army and was then self-employed as a plumbing and heating contractor.
He also was a lifelong active member of the Seventh day Adventist Church.
Mr. Kopitzke is survived by his wife, Lois Ann Kopitzke; one son and his family, Steven and Evelyn Kopitzke of Blontville, Tennessee; three daughters and their families, Merie and Jimmy Arnett of South Bend, Cherie Neuhauser and Gale Hendricks, both of Kokomo, Anita and Randy Wolven of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.
Services were Wednesday, December 30, at 10 a.m. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel in Kokomo with Pastor Blake Hall officiating. Visitation was Tuesday, December 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial followed at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to a Seventh Day Adventist Church.
