Joe Snowaert St. Ignace The LaSalle High School bowling team has opened the season with two tournaments and two single matches.

St. Ignace at Gaylord Tourney

The Saints competed at the Gaylord Tournament Saturday, December 5, with the boys placing 10th and the girls fifth.

Bowling single games, Aaron Salvador recorded a 161, followed by Joe Snowaert with 140, Zach Major 125, and Cyleb Feldman and Raleigh Harrington 110. The team combined in baker and regular scoring with a total of 1,024.

The St. Ignace girls were led by Erica Rickley with 143, followed by Kelsey Putnam with 120, Michaela Cope 111, Shantell Anderson 86, and Lynette Colegrove 81. The Saints tallied 878 in combined baker and regular scoring.

Girls 5th, Boys 11th

At Traverse City

The St. Ignace girls placed fifth and the boys 11th during the Traverse City Tournament Saturday, December 12.

Erica Rickley St. Ignace Michaela Cope led the Saints girls with a three-game total of 418 (136-147-135), followed closely by Erica Rickley at 415 (149-119- 147), Kelsey Putnam 349 (112- 110-127), Lynette Colegrove 367 (113-142-112), Hailey St. Andrew, two total of 217 (103-114), and Shantell Anderson, single game of 81.

Joe Snowaert led the St. Ignace boys with three-game total of 517 (177-176-164), followed by Aaron Salvador 380 (113- 110-157), Cyleb Feldman 373 (128- 132-113), Raleigh Harrington 305 (87-95-123), and Zach Major 295 (120-91-84).

Saints Boys Fall

To Wildcats The St. Ignace Saints boys bowling team opened their season and the girls had a bye in the Northern Michigan Bowling Association Conference at Rogers City Saturday, January 2. The boys fell to the Alpena Wildcats.

Joe Snowaert led the Saints with a two-game total of 363 (199- 164), followed by Aaron Salvador with 320 (175-145), Cyleb Feldman 281 (117-134), Zach Major 194 (102-92), and Raleigh Harrington 179 (111-68).

Saints Compete at Gaylord

The Saints bowling team competed at Gaylord, with the boys falling to Cheboygan and the girls defeated by the host Blue Devils and Cheboygan Saturday, January 9.

Boys: Joe Snowaert led the Saints in four games with scores of 183-168-194-202, followed by Aaron Salvador 181-128-145-137, Cyleb Feldman 130-118-137-155, Raleigh Harrington 89-129-132- 169, and two-game scores by Austin Downey 115-111 and Zach Major 77-77.

Girls: Erica Rickley lifted the girls with games of 139-131-126-126 and Kelsey Putnam with 147-112-126- 95. Three-game scorers were Sandi Thon 107-85-91 and Michaela Cope 104-139-148, with two-game totals from Hailey St. Andrew 99-101, Lynette Colegrove 89-86, and Shantell Anderson 145-113.

The Saints will return to Gaylord, where the boys will battle Rogers City and Gaylord and the girls will tangle with Grayling and Cheboygan Saturday, January 16.

St. Ignace will host bowling action with the boys playing at 10 a.m. and the girls at noon Saturday, January 30.
