Art Grants Available in EUP
Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs Minigrant Program in Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac counties has grants available for art and cultural projects that will start between April 1 and September 30. The application deadline is Wednesday, February 24, for grants of up to $4,000.
Workshops about the grants and how to apply will take place in Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac counties on the following schedule: Thursday, February 4, at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Ignace Public Library; Monday, February 8, at 4:30 p.m. at 125 West Arlington Street in Sault Ste. Marie; Tuesday, February 9, at 3:30 p.m. at Kinross Township Hall in Kincheloe; Wednesday, February 10, at 2:30 p.m. at Luce County Small Courtroom in Newberry.
Any Michigan nonprofit organization, institution, school, association, or local government agency may apply.
Reservations are required for the workshops; contact Ellen Benoit at the E.U.P. Regional Planning office at 635-1581 by Wednesday, February 3. Applications may be mailed, picked up at 524 Ashmun Street in Sault Ste. Marie, or downloaded from www.eup-planning.org.
