Hazel Meyer
Hazel F. Meyer, 89, of Burton, formerly of Engadine and Newberry, died Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Heartland Health Care Center in Flint.
She was born November 8, 1920, in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she spent her younger years until she married Alex Meyer.
They lived in Engadine, Newberry, and Grand Ledge until their retirement, at which time they moved to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Mrs. Meyer resided in Florida until she moved to Michigan in 2002. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, singing, and dancing.
Mrs. Meyer is survived by three children and their families, James and Charlene Woody of Grand Blanc, Alan and Glenda Meyer of Lexington, Kentucky, and Beverly and Gary Cobe of Burton; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Edith Woody, a sister, Audrey, and her husband, Alex.
Services will be held in the spring at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Engadine, with interment following at the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.
