Youngsters Find Fun in Paddle Dance

To the sounds of a fiddle, Kenny Belonga and Katoni Rickley enjoy skipping down the middle of two lines of second grade students waiting to take their turn in the Paddle Dance. Students in second grade classes at St. Ignace learned about life in the Straits region during the 18th century Monday, January 25. The school program was presented by interpreters Dennis Havlena, LeeAnn Ewer, and Jim Evans of Mackinac State Historic Parks.
