Traffic crossing the Mackinac Bridge increased 5.9% for the month of December 2009, compared to December 2008, according to the Mackinac Bridge Authority. This December, 199, 146 vehicles crossed the bridge, while 188,083 crossed during December 2008.

Fare revenue for December was up 10.2%, compared to 2008.

Traffic for 2009 increased 4.9% from 2008; 3,877,375 vehicles crossed in 2009 compared to 3,695,757 in 2008. Fare revenue for the year is up 4.3% compared to 2008.
