John and Molly Thompson of Hessel announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Casey Lynn Short, to Justin Reid of Cedarville.

Miss Short is the daughter of the late Ivy (nee Thompson) and the late Fredrick Short.

Mr. Reid is the son of Gary Reid and Shelly Stevenson of Cedarville.

A wedding date has been set for August 21, 2010.
