Students of the Week

David Fowell, David Ionetz, and Carter Frisch are the students of the week for February 1 at Engadine Consolidated Schools.

David Fowell quietly goes about his business and works hard to keep his grades high, his teachers report, and his determination to do well in his courses is evident by never missing an assignment and always double checking to make sure everything is turned in. Disappointed when his grades are not perfect, he is known to try harder the next time to improve. He is a talented athlete on the football field. He looks out for his brother and helps him with his school work, sometimes attending tutoring to help both of them get their work done. He gets along well with his junior class and often can be seen at school events and playing basketball at noon. He is the son of Frank Laverty of Germfask.

David Ionetz, a seventh grade student, has done an excellent job adjusting to the schedule of a junior high student, and his teacher, Jessica Clark, said he comes to class with a smile and always has something funny to say. He has worked hard to accomplish new tasks. He is interested in trains and video games.

Carter Frisch, a fifth grade student in Jeremiah Clark’s band class, is the son of Rick and Laura Frisch of Gould City. He always has a smile on his face and encourages others to do their best. As a budding new musician, he is a great example of the future of the band program, Mr. Clark reports. Math is what he enjoys most about school and “Abe Lincoln” is his favorite book. He would like to become a paramedic.
