Tracey Laitinen Is New Executive Director for United Way

Tracey Laitinen is the new executive director for the United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Her selection for the post was announced January 15. She succeeds Molly Paquin, who has accepted a position with VitalCare in Cheboygan.
Ms. Laitinen was graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in biology.
Since 2006, she has worked at MacMaster Realty in Sault Ste. Marie. She has volunteered with Community Health Access Coalition, Great Start, Road to Recovery, and the Relay for Life.
“I have great goals for United Way this year and in the future. I am very happy to be working for an organization that is so well thought of and that makes a difference in a large geographic area,” she said.
She is married to Rob Laitinen. They have a three-year-old daughter, Audrey.
The United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula supports 18 agencies that work locally to improve the quality of life in Chippewa, Mackinac, and Luce counties.
