"Our defense was the key," said Eagles Coach Elmer Albright. "We forced Newberry to take the outside shot and we were patient with our shots."
Engadine led 6- 1 after the first eight minutes before Newberry held a 15-12-scoring edge to cut the Eagles lead to 18- 16 at halftime.
The Eagles outscored the Indians 12-6 in the third quarter for a 30-22 margin and Newberry closed out the contest with a 21-20 advantage in the final eight minutes.
