Panthers Remain Perfect In EUPC With Home Win

Justine Hatfield drains this three-point field goal for Pickford during a non-conference game Tuesday, January 26. The Pickford Panthers remain undefeated in the Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference after a 74- 43 home win over the Cedarville Trojans Thursday, January 28.

The Panthers, 5-0 in the EUPC and 10-4 overall, were playing without Paul Griffin as the firstyear coach had knee surgery. Josh Galarowic, Pickford junior varsity coach, filled in as varsity coach.

Both teams scored 11 points in the first eight minutes before Pickford outscored Cedarville, who fell to 2-2 in the league and 4-9 on the season, 25-11 to build a 36-22-halftime lead.

The Panthers held a 17-10 margin in the third quarter and completed the league contest with a 19-11 advantage in the final eight minutes.
