Trojans Roll Past Panthers In EUPC Match-up

Matt Schlosser Cedarville Matt Schlosser Cedarville Cedarville trailed by five points after the first quarter, but the Trojans turned up the offensive burners to defeat the Pickford Panthers 88-52 during an Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference (EUPC) win at John Duncan Gymnasium in Cedarville Friday, January 29.

"We sputtered in the first quarter, but shot the ball better in the final three quarters," said Trojans Coach Dave Duncan.

Pickford led 19-14 after the first eight minutes before Cedarville held a 23-8 margin in the second quarter for a 37-17 halftime advantage.

The league-leading Trojans, with a 5-0 conference mark and 10-2 overall, outscored the Panthers 51- 25 in the second half. The game included scores of 33-14 in the third quarter and 18-11 in the final eight minutes.

Trojans JV 12-0 on Season

The Cedarville Trojans junior varsity team remains undefeated at 12-0 after a 66-59 win over the Pickford Panthers Friday, January 29.
