Two Hurt in Home Gas Explosion Near Cedarville
Two Cedarville residents, Paul Hensley and Christy Shea, were injured when a propane explosion destroyed this trailer home off M-134 Wednesday evening, February 3. Mr. Hensley remains hospitalized. An investigation into the cause of the explosion is underway.
One man remains hospitalized after a propane explosion destroyed
trailer home two miles east of Cedarville off M-134 Wednesday evening, February 3. Paul Hensley and Christy Shea were injured by the explosion and taken to the University of Michigan Burn Center in Ann Arbor. Mr. Hensley remained at the Burn Center in serious condition at press time Monday, February 8, while Ms. Shea had been discharged.
The Clark Township Volunteer Fire Department received a call about the explosion at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, said Clark O'Brian of the fire department.
A state fire inspector examined the site Thursday morning, Mr. O'Brian said, and determined the explosion was caused by propane, although the inspector was unable
determine what the source was. Foul play is not suspected, Mr. O'Brian said. The investigation of the explosion is ongoing.
