Blanche Millon, 91, of Cedarville, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Cedar Cove Assisted Living Community in Cedarville.
She was born July 18, 1918, in Goetzville, to Anthony John and Clara (nee Potoczak) Ligienza.
She grew up in Goetzville and married Anthony “Tony” Millon September 26, 1936, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Goetzville.
They lived in the Detroit area for several years and then made their home in Cedarville in 1946. Mrs. Millon was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Millon liked tatting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, bowling, gardening, and picking berries.
She is survived by two children and their families, Carolyn and Richard Hank Sr. of Cedarville, and Adrian and Suzanne Millon of Cedarville; 10 grandchildren and their families, Richard Hank Jr., Timothy Hank, Lisa and Michael Townsend, Bradley and Stacy Millon, Darcy Millon, Cathy Millon, Daniel Millon, Christopher and Jami Millon, Michael and Pam Esson, and Anthony and Sherice Esson; six great-grandchildren, Sydney Hank, Jocelyn Hank, Paul Millon, Rachel Millon, Megan Esson, and Nathan Esson; a daughter-in-law, Delores Millon of Kansas City, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; two sons, Paul Millon and Lawrence Millon; one daughter, Elaine Esson; three sisters, Mary Cebulski, Anna Wheeler, and Martha Krol, and two brothers, Alvin Ligienza and Edward Ligienza.
There are no services planned at this time. Inurnment will be in Cedar Cemetery in Cedarville in the spring.
