Lorraine Baker, 88, of Naubinway, was employed as a Star Route Mail Carrier for 36 years. Mrs. Baker died Thursday evening, February 4, 2010, at the Luce County Annex in Newberry, where she had been residing since January 2007.

Born October 26, 1921, in Naubinway, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Christina (nee Vincent) Christensen.

Mrs. Baker retired from the mail service in 1995. She was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Naubinway.

Mrs. Baker is survived by two sons and their families, William and Sandra of Naubinway and John of Hudson, Florida; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, who died in 1969; three sisters, and eight brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the spring at St. Stephens Catholic Church with Father Frank Ricca officiating. Burial will take place at the Naubinway Cemetery.
