City of Petoskey, Cheboygan Could Be Distinguished by Smokestacks

To the Editor:
In regard to the photograph of the City of Petoskey in the February 25 issue, I never paid attention to the three windows in the pilothouse. But I do know that the Cheboygan only had one smokestack, and Petoskey and Munising had two stacks. You could tell the Cheboygan halfway across the Straits.
I helped build the Vacationland in River Rouge in 1951. Mr. Lee Specht ran the shipyard back then.
