Raber Area Sportsmen’s Club will host an ice fishing contest Saturday, March 13, starting at 6 a.m. and ending Sunday, March 14, at noon. The fishing boundaries include all of the St. Marys River.

Early registration will be available in Raber at Gibby's Bar, Raber Bar, and Williams store. Participants can also register at the trailer on the Raber dock. Entry fee is $10 per person. Children competing in the tournament may also register for $10; there is no charge if they are not entering competition.

The event will award $300 to the largest walleye, $200 for second, and $100 for third. The angler with the largest perch will be awarded $50, and $50 will go to the largest pike. New this year is the fish bowl, where anglers can donate their fish to for a chance to win $50. Also new is the Ugly Fish contest, with the winner taking home $50.

Children will also have a chance to win prizes.
