The groom is the son of Doris LaPine and the late Vern LaPine of Sault Ste. Marie. He is employed as a commercial fisherman for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

The bride is the son of the late Fred and Marianna Paquin of St. Ignace.

The couple reside in Bay Mills.
