A few students still around for the weekend were Jamie Maison from Northern Michigan University and Kristen Derusha from Bay College.
The weather this past weekend was spectacular, causing most folks to develop a case of spring fever. Clothes were hung on the line, neighbors walked around the block, and there was even talk of golfing season.
Continued get well wishes to Lee Kerridge, who continues on the road to recovery at Marquette General Hospital, Harold Derusha at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital, and Rosie Prater on the mend at home.
Birthday wishes to my greatnephew, Evan Arnold, first grandson for Roy and Karen Livermore, celebrating his second birthday March 15, Karen Livermore and Emily Outwater March 17, Howard Hood March 19, Bill Belonga March 20, and Bill Hood and Mary Ellen Stephenson March 21.
Condolences to the family of Effie Sulcer of Lansing, a former Engadine resident, who passed away Thursday, March 11. Effie and Don Sulcer owned the local teenage gathering place here in the early 1960s. An obituary for Mrs. Sulcer is published in this issue of The St. Ignace News.
