A Parent Appreciation Dinner will be Thursday, March 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Ignace Middle School cafeteria. The event is free and open to the public. Free child care will also be provided.

Michigan State University Extension educator Tracie Abrams will discuss child development. Informational displays will be on hand from several agencies, including Michigan State University Extension, Head Start, Great Start, Early On, Great Parent/Great Start, Strong Families/Safe Children, the health department, and Women, Infants, Children, Great Start Quality Child Care, and kindergarten round-up.

The event is sponsored by Mackinac County Child Protection Roundtable, St. Ignace and Gros Cap Schools Parent Teacher Organization, Head Start, and Great Start in celebration of Parenting Awareness Month.
