Several local students were named to the dean’s list for the semester ending December 2009 at Ferris State University and Kendall College of Art and Design. Earning academic honors were Nathan Everson, Carlie Levi, and Steven Chan, all of St. Ignace; Alex Malaski and Elisabeth Ortiz, both of Rudyard; Katelyn Meehan of Kinross; Shaylin Peters of Naubinway; Ryne Ozanich of Engadine; Fuller Cowell of Mackinac Island; Kendra Kitchen of Mackinaw City; Michael Cole of Brimley; Maria Meehan, Carrie Kymes, and Katie Young, all of Dafter; Laura Fussman of DeTour Village, and Andrea Volz of Curtis.
