A.Victor Abnee and Ruth Shanfield were married in a simple ceremony in their Tucson, Arizona, home Wednesday, March 24, in the presence of Allen and Janice Abnee Williams, Nina Abnee, and Vic’s granddaughter, Ellen Abnee. Victor and Ruth have been good friends and companions for more than five years. Ruth lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and they’ve spent time there, in Tucson and in Cedarville. They hope to be in Cedarville in their Islington Point home in time to see daughter, Janice, installed as president of the Les Cheneaux Islands Association in August. We send them good wishes.
Les Cheneaux Schools are on spring break and the towns of Cedarville and Hessel seem quiet as many families have taken off for a quick vacation away before the busy summer in these tourist towns begins.
