Two road agreements with Portage Township for the improvement of Ketola and McGahn roads were signed by the Mackinac County Road Commission at its meeting Tuesday, March 12.

Ketola Road work will include sand fill, aggregate surfacing, clearing, and restoration for a distance of 1.15 miles. The township will contribute $239,800 of the construction costs, while the road commission chip in $24,000 for engineering.

McGahn Road will also be improved with sand fill, aggregate surfacing, clearing, and restoration for 0.25 mile. The construction cost for the township is $51,400 and the road commission will contribute $5,140 in engineering.
